very cool set up....better than most.

Probably the NICEST welcome center ive been to. It was clean, the landscaping was high quality, and the selection of vending machine items was impressive. The only problem the parking lot was somewhat difficult to navigate.

When you're traveling across the US seeing the NC welcome center is a great sight. We stopped to get some lunch while traveling from Ohio to SC and the food they offer at the welcome center held off some hungry kids.

Easy on and off of the interstate. Parking was simple. Very clean and well maintained. The welcome center was closed when we went through. There is a large granite map of North Carolina just outside.

Rest rooms and vending are okay, but if you happen to miss the actual wecoee center's operating hours, you have no access to travel information, and no way to get a map. Big sign on the locked door "Free Maps" is pointless if there is no "after hours go here" or "talk to so-and-so" for a map. I've been through this center more than once, and still haven't been able to pick up a map, or any other travel pamphlets because my trips bring me through after hours. Not every traveler has the luxury of an 8 to 5 lifestyle. At least other states put out maps and other materials where they can be accessed by visitors when no "travel consultant" is on duty.
